Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Contrast Aethermatic Blue 29-41
Contrast colours combine the flow properties of a Shade paint with the colour density and adhesion of a Layer paint. With these paints, various areas of a miniature can be painted effortlessly to achieve strong contrasts and aetherial effects. Aethermatic Blue is ideal for very light, translucent blue-turquoise tones and is particularly well suited for ghosts, energy effects, ice, mist, as well as magical or supernatural colour schemes.
Contrast Paints function as basecoat and shading in one step. The paint settles in recesses and automatically creates cool, soft shadows, while raised areas remain almost glowing. Aethermatic Blue provides a clear, ghostly effect with natural depth.
For optimal results, we recommend light base colours and the use of the primers Wraithbone, White Scar or Grey Seer to fully utilise the excellent flow and contrast properties of Contrast Paints.
