Warhammer - Citadel Colour: Contrast Wyldwood 29-30
Contrast colours combine the flow properties of a Shade paint with the colour density and adhesion of a Layer paint. With these paints, various areas of a miniature can be painted effortlessly to achieve strong contrasts and natural effects. Wyldwood is ideal for dark wood, leather, and earth tones, and is particularly well suited for tree bark, wooden structures, leather, fur, fabrics, as well as nature-inspired or realistic colour schemes.
Contrast Paints function as basecoat and shading in one step. The paint settles in recesses and automatically creates deep, natural shadows, while raised areas remain lighter. Wyldwood provides a rich, warm brown with strong contrast and realistic depth.
For optimal results, we recommend light base colours and the use of the primers Wraithbone, White Scar or Grey Seer to fully utilise the excellent flow and contrast properties of Contrast Paints.
